Qi [CHee] noun
Qi can be described in many ways and is often defined as "energy", or "life-force".
We can best understand "Qi" to be the vital essence that give our bodies the energy it needs on all levels. It is the synchronous orchestration of chemicals, nerves and hormones that collectively drive our minds and bodies to operate harmoniously and enable us to properly function (yet another definition of the word "Qi"). We can view Qi as the "conductor" of all of the elements that keep our systems pumping, moving, and stimulated as we go about our day.
When our Qi is disrupted and imbalanced in any way, we see disruption and imbalance in our body and mind's functioning. We may use lifestyle, diet, and Chinese medicine as safe and natural ways to keep ourselves balanced and healthy.
Without Qi, there is no life!
